Graduating from Ladder and transitioning into confident, skilled individuals Ladder takes pride in each graduating group, recognising the unique stories, challenges, and triumphs that shape their paths. Each graduation is a significant transition, a bridge between the past and the future, where hard work, dedication, resilience, determination, and growth are recognised and celebrated. Recently, we celebrated the incredible journey of another amazing group of young people in Gippsland. Over six intensive weeks, these participants displayed remarkable determination and growth. Upon graduating, 83% of participants successfully transitioned into employment, education, and training. Despite numerous challenges, the young people persevered. Through their journey with Ladder, they conquered obstacles, acquired new skills and knowledge, and discovered their potential, self-worth, and motivation to pursue the lives they deserve. Their achievements are a testament to their hard work and perseverance, and we are incredibly proud to have been part of their journey. Recent program reflections and achievements: 95% of participants feel proud of their achievements. 95% feel more motivated to achieve their EET goals. 95% improved their emotional well-being. 90% feel more connected to their community. 100% improved their connection with others. 100% built a trusting relationship with Ladder staff. 100% would recommend Ladder to a friend. One program graduate reflected on their time during the program. "Throughout the program, I learned valuable skills such as computer skills, cooking skills, communication skills, and even how to develop my own resume and cover letter” they said. "I feel confident and happier knowing that I have some idea of where I’m going," expressed another graduate, who now has a sense of purpose and direction following the Ladder program. Following graduation, our young people become part of the Ladder Alumni program, continuing to receive support to pursue their next set of goals. We look forward to welcoming the next group of participants who commence our next Ladder program in Gippsland tomorrow. To find out more about Step Up Latrobe Valley, click here.
