Graduating from Ladder program with confidence, aspirations and new formed friendships Over the past six weeks, an incredible group of young people have taken bold steps forward in their personal and professional journeys. Together, they committed themselves to growth, resilience, and connection—supporting one another while striving towards their own self-identified goals. Throughout the program, they built strong, lasting relationships not only with each other but also with the dedicated Ladder Development Coaches who walked alongside them every step of the way. They tackled challenges, celebrated wins, and embraced the process of self-discovery and development. The program provided them with a variety of meaningful experiences including the opportunity to volunteer at Morwell Neighbourhood House, attend industry tours with Latrobe Valley Village Nursing Home, Gippsland Water and Morwell Fire Brigade and engaging in interview preparation and job applications. When asked to describe Ladder, participants used words such as “gateway”, “perfect for me”, “very helpful”, “a great opportunity to get jobs, apprenticeships and to connect with other people” and “a place to escape isolation”. As they graduate from the Ladder program, these young people look to the future with renewed confidence and optimism. They leave the program not only with a clearer sense of direction but also with the assurance that they are not alone—Ladder will continue to be there, supporting them as they take their next steps. “Thank you guys so much for this, I'm genuinely so glad and happy I got to be a part of your program and I will thoroughly miss you guys and the time we all spent together will stick with me for years to come” – Ladder program participant “My favourite part of the program was spending everyday with the group and workers, I formed bonds that I will cherish and I will miss coming every week." – Ladder program participant Manage Cookie Preferences
