Ladder participants attend site visit and learn about employment pathways with Gippsland Water Participants recently attended a tour of Gippsland Water’s Traralgon Water Treatment Plant. This visit enabled participants to learn more about why and how Gippsland Water treat water to ensure it is safe to drink. It also provided an opportunity for participants to learn from the team about employment pathways including how participants can get involved in community work and access training opportunities. "Going to Gippsland Water showed me that there are actually heaps of ways to get a job and be part of the community. I didn’t know there were so many options out there." – AJ, 19 We would like to thank Gippsland Water for organising this visit and we look forward to future visits with our new program participants. Gippsland Water have been a great supporter of Ladder Step Up Latrobe Valley, having provided water bottles for young people at our recent Alumni celebration and launch event.
