  • Ladder Step Up Inner Gippsland

Ladder Step Up Inner Gippsland

COMPLETE THE REFERRAL FORM HERE

The Ladder Step Up Inner Gippsland program is based in Baw Baw and Bass Coast, Victoria and is an expansion of the already successful, evidence-based Step Up program in Latrobe Valley.

The program supports young people aged 12-18, who are disengaged or at risk of disengaging from education, training or employment.

The program consists of two elements, group mentoring and 1:1 outreach to build young people's skills across key life domains; employment, education and training, health and wellbeing, independent living skills, and community connections. The aim of the program is to equip and empower program participants to achieve sustainment in education, training or employment.

The program will support young people to:

  • build resilience and social and emotional capability
  • identify their strengths, interests, skills, and talents
  • identify what they wish to achieve during and post program
  • take a leadership role in organising community engagement and volunteering opportunities
  • complete job tasters, explore various EET pathways and learn about career pathways from industry leaders.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the program, young people will:

  • Be aged between 12-18
  • Reside within Baw Baw Shire and Bass Coast LGA of Victoria
  • Be interested in re-engaging in education, training or finding employment
  • Be ready to explore new opportunities.

If you know a young person who meets the above criteria, complete the REFERRAL FORM HERE
