Korynda- Development Coach

Korynda brings lived experience of the foster care system and identifies as a member of the LGBTQIA+ community. She is passionate about improving support and opportunities for young people experiencing disadvantage.

Korynda began her career in the special effects makeup industry after completing her Beauty Diploma. After six years in the field, her desire to support young people with experiences similar to her own inspired her to transition into the community services sector, where she completed a Certificate IV in Community Services. She went on to work in Residential Care and also supported camps at Licola Wilderness Village for young people experiencing disadvantage.

Korynda recently joined the Ladder team as a Development Coach, where she works closely with young people to support their engagement in education, training, and employment.

Outside of Ladder, Korynda enjoys spending time with her young son, as well as with friends and family. She has a love of heavy metal music and also enjoys attending the ballet.
